# Access and complete a smart assessment

Answer and submit a smart assessment directly from the workplace case form when the assessment meets its configured trigger conditions.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn\_wsd\_case.workplace\_agent

## About this task

You must open the case or task from **Workplace Central** > **Lists**. For required assessments, you must complete the assessment before you can close the case to one of the states in the **Close before** field.

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **Workplace Central** > **Lists**.

2.  Open the assigned workplace case record from your work queue or case list.

3.  Select **Open Smart Assessment** to launch the assessment interface.

    The system displays the assessment instructions, sections, and questions on the **Smart Assessment Results** tab.

4.  Review the assessment instructions and answer all assessment questions.

    **Note:** You can't move the case to the states in the **Close before** field until you complete the required assessment.

5.  Select **Submit** to complete and close the assessment.

    The system records all responses and marks the assessment as completed.
