# Working with Space Optimization

Perform space optimization-related actions such as creating scenarios, approving scenarios and more.

**Note:** To access the Space Optimization module in Workplace Central, you must have the sn\_wsd\_spcmgmt.space\_planner role or the sn\_wsd\_spcmgmt.scenario\_reader role; sn\_wsd\_spcmgmt.scenario\_reader is a read-only role.

Create a scenario with a building. Add, update, or remove space allocations before publishing and deploying a scenario. Manage and update your scenarios using the Stack plan and Floor map component tabs.

You can view the details like the floor details and space KPIs. You can edit a scenario to allocate spaces to projects and neighborhoods, assign spaces to users, or edit space assignments.

The Space optimization also enables you to view space allocations and make any space-related changes on a building directly. You can view a building stack plan and floor map same as scenarios.
