# Assign a task to a contractor on Field Service Marketplace

Review contractor responses then assign the task to a contractor on Field Service Marketplace.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn\_mktplace\_core.mktplace\_requestor

Ensure that the Field Service Marketplace plugin is active. The task must be pushed to marketplace first. For more information, see [Push a request to Field Service Marketplace](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/field-service-management/field-service-scheduling/push-task-fsm-mktplc.md).

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **All** > **Field Service** > **Dispatcher** > **Dispatcher Workspace.**.

2.  Select a work order task.

3.  Review the responses and assign to a contractor.

    -   Select a response to review the details submitted by the contractor.
    -   Select **Close response window** to stop requesting from the marketplace and decide on a contractor.
4.  Select a contractor.

5.  Select **Assign task**.
