# Summarize a record using ServiceNow Otto in Virtual Agent

You can create a summary of a work order task record using the ServiceNow Otto in Virtual Agent directly from the ServiceNow Agent application.

## Before you begin

Role required: wm\_agent

## About this task

You can summarize a record by launching Ask ServiceNow Otto. On the home screen ask AI to summarize a record or navigate to a specific work order task record and using the Quick actions menu. Both methods provide a quick and efficient way to generate a summary.

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **My work**.

2.  From quick actions, select **Ask ServiceNow Otto**.

3.  In the ServiceNow Otto panel, prompt AI to summarize the record.

4.  Tap **Send**.

5.  Tap **Done**.

6.  Tap the plus icon to begin a new conversation.

### Procedure

1.  Navigate to **My work**.

2.  In the **My tasks** section, tap a work order task record.

3.  Tap the **Quick actions** icon in the top right corner of the screen.

4.  Tap **Ask ServiceNow Otto**.

5.  Tap **Show all my options**.

    **Note:**

    Any skills configured by an admin for ServiceNow Otto in Virtual Agent are shown.

6.  Tap **Summarize a record**.

7.  Tap **Done**.

8.  Tap the plus icon to begin a new conversation.
