# Generate a report for an engagement in a classic report template

Generate a report that summarizes the findings of an engagement to communicate the report findings to executives.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn\_audit.manager, sn\_audit\_ws.supervisor

## About this task

You can generate a report for engagements that are in the **Awaiting approval**, **Follow up**, or **Closed complete** states.

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **All** > **Audit** > **Audit Workspace**.

2.  Select the lists icon \(\[Omitted image "ListsIcon.jpg"\] Alt text: List icon.\).

3.  Select **All engagements** or **My engagements** in the Execution list.

4.  Select the link to the engagement record in the **Name** column.

    The engagement must be in **Awaiting approval**, **Follow up**, or **Closed complete** state.

5.  Select the **Details** tab.

6.  If you have not entered details in the Report section of the Engagement form, then fill in the fields.

    |Report template|Template used to generate the knowledge base article that reports the engagement results.|
    |Report knowledge base|Knowledge base to be used.|

7.  Select **Save**.

8.  To generate the report, select the **Generate report** button.
