Only information objects classified as personal information can be associated with the processing activities. ## Before you begin Role required: sn\_privacy.manager ## About this task Information objects that are classified as personal information can be used in the privacy assessments and processing activities. Even if you create a new information object from the **\[PI\] Information objects** list view, you must classify the data as personal information. Do not assume that because you are creating an information object in the \[PI\] Information objects list, the information object is automatically classified. ## Procedure 1. Navigate to **All** > **Privacy Management** > **Privacy Workspace**. 2. In the Privacy Workspace, click the List icon \(\[Omitted image "ws-list-icon.png"\]\). 3. Navigate to **Privacy elements** > **All Information objects**. 4. Select and open the information object you want to tag. 5. In the **Data Classification** field, select **Personal Information**. 6. Select **Save**. ## Result The information object that you classified as personal information appears in the \[PI\] Information Objects list. **Parent Topic:**[Manage the Privacy Management library](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/governance-risk-compliance/privacy-workspace/privacy-library-setup.md)
