# Delete a normalization strategy

You can delete a normalization strategy only if it is in draft state. Deleting a strategy removes it permanently, so confirm it is no longer in use before proceeding.

## Before you begin

-   Confirm that the smart assessment scoring plugin \[com.sn\_smart\_scoring\] is installed.
-   Role required: sn\_smart\_asmt.template\_manager and sn\_smart\_asmt.assessment\_admin

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **All** > **Smart Assessment Engine** > **Administration** > **Normalization Strategies**.

2.  On the Scoring normalization strategies list, select the normalization strategy you want to delete.

3.  On the top panel select **Move to draft**.

    To delete a normalization strategy, it must be in a draft state. If the strategy is currently published, you must first move it back to a draft state.

4.  On the top panel select **Delete**.

    A confirmation message with a warning is displayed, review it carefully.

5.  Select **Delete**.
