# Create a Grants Program results letter template

As an agent or Grants Program manager, you can use templates to compose letters informing applicants of the result, choosing from Award, Rejection \(ineligible\), and Rejection \(decline\). These letters are displayed to applicants on the Grants Management Portal, once a decision has been communicated.

## About this task

You can create and define several results letter or document templates that are used to notify applicants about the final status of their grants proposals. The applicant is then notified and can access and view their results letter and merit review summaries on the applicant portal. If their proposal is approved, they can decline or accept the award notice.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn\_gsm\_grnt\_mgmt.program\_manager, sn\_gsm\_grnt\_mgmt.grant\_director

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **All** > **CSM Configurable Workspace** > **Lists**.

2.  Select **Grant Programs** > **My grant programs** and select a grant program.

3.  Navigate to the Decision activity, and select create letter.

Once the Grant Program Manager is ready to release the results letters for the applicants, the letters can be configured using Restricted Caller Access.
