# Run an automation in RPA Desktop Design Studio

Run an automation to execute the workflow in RPA Desktop Design Studio.

## Before you begin

Create an automation project. ## About this task

The **Run** option starts the execution from the Start component of the activity that is marked as startup.

## Procedure

1.  In the RPA Desktop Design Studio, navigate to the **Design** tab.

2.  Click **Run**.

3.  To clear the runtime log, click **Clear Log**.
