For more information, see [Create a Connection & Credential alias](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/platform-security/connection-alias.md). ## About this task To use authentication methods not supported in MCP Server, use the Connection and Credential Alias method. Create the alias manually and then update it in the MCP Server. For OAuth-based authentication, first create the OAuth entity profile. Then create the Connection and Credential Alias. For other authentication methods like API Key, Basic Auth, AWS Credentials, or SSH Credentials, create the connection and credential alias directly. ## Procedure 1. Navigate to **All** > **AI Agent Studio** > **Settings** > **Manage Model Contextual Protocol \(MCP\) Servers**. 2. Select **View** against **MCP Servers**. 3. On the Model Context Protocol Server page, select **New**. 4. On the form, fill in the fields. \[Omitted image "add-mcp-server-other.png"\] Alt text: Adding an MCP Server in AI Agent Studio with a Connection and credential alias record.
