# Edit a trace connection

Update the configuration of an established trace connection to change its credentials, collection frequency, MID Server, or other settings.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn\_ai\_governance.ai\_steward

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **All** > **AI Control Tower** > **Home** > **Settings** > **Integrations** > **Traces**.

2.  On the **Established** sub-tab, select the connection you want to update.

3.  Select **Actions** > **Edit**.

4.  On the form, update the fields as needed and select **Save**.


## Result

The connection is updated. If the connection is active, AI Control Tower uses the new configuration at the next collection interval.
