# Edit a registered client

Update the configuration of a registered client \(MCP or CIMD\) in an MCP server record.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn\_ai\_governance.ai\_steward

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **All** > **AI Control Tower** > **Home** > **Inventory** and select an MCP server.

2.  Select the **AI Gateway** tab.

3.  Select the **Setup** sub-tab.

4.  In the MCP client integration section, select the registered client that you want to edit.

    The Edit client screen appears.

5.  Update the client configuration.

    The fields available for editing depend on the client type.

    For a CIMD client, you can update:

    -   Client ID
    -   Redirect URL
    -   Metadata sync mode
    -   Security controls
    For an MCP client, you can update:

    -   Client name
    -   Redirect URL
6.  Select **Save**.


## Result

The client record displays the updated configuration.
