# Configuring AI Skill Kit

Configure prompts and skills for AI Skill Kit.

## Configuration overview

To use AI Skill Kit, you must update your Otto plugins in the [Application Manager](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/platform-administration/exploring-application-manager.md). For example, update your ServiceNow Otto for ITSM plugin to the latest version.

After you install the plugin, configuring a skill in AI Skill Kit has two parts. First, you must configure how to deploy the skill. Next, you must configure the prompt.

Configure a skill prompt to set its large language model \(LLM\), the randomness of its responses, and its token limits.

Configure where a skill appears in AI Admin Hub, review general information, set security controls, choose a provider, and add evaluation metrics.

Define an access control list \(ACL\) and role restrictions for every skill. The ACL limits which user roles can access and run the skill, and role restrictions limit the roles that the skill runs with.
