# Download ServiceNow AI Lens and set launch preference

Download the ServiceNow AI Lens installer for your operating systemand set your preferred way to launch ServiceNow AI Lens — from your browser or the desktop application.

## Before you begin

Role required: admin

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **All** > **ServiceNow AI Lens** > **Downloads and Preferences**.

2.  In the ServiceNow AI Lens downloads and preferences page, do any of the following actions to download the required application for macOS or Windows:

    -   Select the Download icon \[Omitted image "rpa-hub-download-icon.png"\] Alt text:.
    -   Select the Copy link icon \[Omitted image "rpa-hub-copyurl-icon.png"\] Alt text:, and in the browser address bar, right-click and select the **Paste and Go** option.

    A dialog box might prompt you to save or open the file.

    **Note:** Depending on your browser setting, the browser might automatically save the file to your Downloads folder.

3.  Under **Default app on launch**, select how you want ServiceNow AI Lens to open when you start a session:

    -   **Browser \(no installation required\)**: Opens ServiceNow AI Lens in your browser.
    -   **Desktop app**: Opens the ServiceNow AI Lens desktop application.

        **Note:** You can change your launch preference at any time by navigating to **All** > **ServiceNow AI Lens** > **Downloads and Preferences**.

4.  Execute the application installation file \(.msi file\) or \(.pkg file\).

5.  Follow the on-screen instructions to install the application.

6.  From the Privacy & Security settings on your macOS system, grant ServiceNow AI Lens permission to record your screen.
