# Using ServiceNow AI Lens

If you have a lens\_user role, and have activated the ServiceNow AI Lens skill, you can use the ServiceNow AI Lens application to capture screens or upload files, extract and comprehend data from the captured screenshotsor uploaded files, auto-fill form fields, or preview the extracted data.

## Using ServiceNow AI Lens overview

Use ServiceNow AI Lens to do the following tasks:

-   Create or update a record directly from your browser by capturing your screen — no installation required. -   Create or update a record in the ServiceNow instance by auto-filling data that is scanned from captured imagesor extracted from the files that you upload. -   Trigger ServiceNow AI Lens in the context of Lens actions to auto-fill a form on the ServiceNow instance or view preview of extracted data.
