# Create a source for classification codes

Create a source that you can then assign to classification codes.

## Before you begin

A source is a system of classification for a particular industry. For more details on sources, see [Model classification](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/it-asset-management/enterprise-asset-management/classification-codes.md).

Role required: sn\_eam.enterprise\_asset\_manager

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **Enterprise Asset Workspace** > **Admin center**.

2.  Select **Sources** under Model classifications and then select **New**.

3.  On the Create New Enterprise model classification source page, enter a name of the source in the **Source** field.

4.  Enter a description of the source in the **Description** field.

5.  Select **Save**.

    The source appears in the Create sources page.
