# Getting started with SAM advisor dashboard setup

Set up the SAM advisor dashboard by selecting the software products that define the SAM advisor scope.

The SAM scope defines which software products CMDB success advisor monitors for SAM data quality. The selected software products determine the scope of the SAM advisor dashboard, including the KPIs that are tracked.

## Roles required

Role required: sam\_admin or sn\_cmdb\_admin

## Manual setup

If auto-setup did not run or the eligibility conditions were not met, configure the dashboard manually by selecting software products on the CMDB success advisor landing page.
