# Using Export to PowerPoint

Use the Export to PowerPoint add-in for Microsoft PowerPoint to create a template to generate reports.

**Note:** While creating a template, any formatting options that you use such as font style, font size, background color, and so on, are retained while generating a report.

1.  Create a Microsoft PowerPoint template. For more information, see [Create a Microsoft PowerPoint template](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/it-business-management/export-to-powerpoint-for-application-portfolio-management/create-ppt-template.md).
2.  Upload a Microsoft PowerPoint template to your ServiceNow instance. 3.  Download a project status report using the created template.
