# Add stakeholders to a demand

Delegate assignments and track demand progress by managing the stakeholders associated with a demand.

## Before you begin

Role required: it\_demand\_manager

## About this task

A demand can have multiple stakeholders and a stakeholder can be associated with multiple demands.

To create, edit, or delete demand stakeholders, you can also use the **Add stakeholders** Playbook activity. For more information, see [Use Playbook in Next Experience for Demand Management](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/it-business-management/portfolio-planning/use-playbooks-in-ppw.md).

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **Workspaces** > **Portfolio Planning Workspace**.

2.  Select the Demands icon \[Omitted image "demands-icon.png"\].

3.  Open a demand from the **List** page.

4.  Select **Details** from the navigation menu.

5.  Select the **Stakeholders** tab.

    **Note:** If the **Stakeholders** tab isn't visible, select **More** and then select **Stakeholders**.

6.  Add a stakeholder, either from the stakeholder registry or as a new record.

**Add an existing stakeholder from registry**

1.  Select **Add Stakeholder**.
2.  Select one or more stakeholders from the list.

3.  Select **Add**.

**Add a stakeholder to the registry**

1.  Select **New**.
2.  On the Demand Stakeholder form, fill in the fields.

3.  Select **Save**.

</table>7.  Remove a stakeholder's association with the demand.

    1.  Select the check boxes for the required stakeholders.

    2.  Select **Delete**.

    3.  Select **Delete All** in the confirmation modal.

        This removes the stakeholder's association with this demand; it doesn't delete the stakeholder's entry from the registry.
