# Approve demands

Approve qualified demands in Next Experience for Demand Management. Approving a demand moves it to the Approved state, where the demand manager can convert it into a work item such as a project or enhancement.

## Before you begin

Demands must be in the Qualified state.

Role required: demand\_approver \(who can see only demands in the Qualified state\) or it\_demand\_manager

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **Workspaces** > **Strategic Planning Workspace**.

2.  Select the Demands icon \[Omitted image "demands-icon.png"\].

3.  Open a demand from the **List** page.

4.  Select **Details** from the navigation menu.

5.  Select the **Approve** button.
