# Customize the demand record form

Customize the demand form in Next Experience for Demand Management to configure which fields appear when users create a demand.

## Before you begin

Role required: admin

**Note:** If the demand also has a demand experience selected, the experience's own view rule may take precedence over this customization, depending on execution order. See [Demand experiences](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/it-business-management/strategic-planning/demand-experiences-dw.md).

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **All** > **Demand** > **Demands** > **All**.

2.  Select **New**.

3.  In the form context menu in the record header, select **Configure** > **Form Layout**.

4.  In the **View name** field, select **APW New**.

5.  In response to the Form Builder prompt, select **Not Now**.

6.  In the message regarding the application scope, select **Edit this section in Portfolio Planning**.

7.  Determine the fields you want to appear on the form by moving field names between the Selected and Available lists.

8.  Set the field order in the Selected list using the up and down arrows.

9.  Select **Save**.


## Result

The customized form layout is applied to the demand record form, unless a demand experience with a lower-execution-order view rule takes precedence for a given demand.
