# Check definition form parameters tab

The Parameters tab definitions for the **Command** field on the check definition form.

|Field|Description|
|-----|-----------|
|Name|A descriptive name for the parameter.|
|Default value / value|Default value / value of the parameter.|
|Active|Boolean. When set to **true**, the parameter is taken to the **Command** field when the **Command Auto Generation** check box is selected.|
|Mandatory|Boolean. When set to **true**, a parameter value must be specified for the command to run.|
|Flag|String. Prefix that is added before the parameter value in the **Command** field when the **Command Auto Generation** check box is selected.|
|Value required|Boolean. When set to **true** and when the **Command Auto Generation** check box is selected, the value of this parameter is added to the **Command** field after the **Flag** value.|
