# Set up Terraform API key in ServiceNow

Add the Terraform API key to the ServiceNow instance to ensure consistent and error-free infrastructure provisioning.

## Before you begin

The below procedure is only required if you're integrating Terraform.

Role required: ServiceNow AI Platform admin

## Procedure

1.  Log in to the ServiceNow instance.

2.  Navigate to **All** > **Connections & Credentials** > **Credentials**.

3.  From the list, select **API Key Credentials**.

4.  In the **Name** field, enter the name.

5.  In the **API Key** field, enter the key obtained from the Terraform admin.

6.  To complete the process, select **Submit**.
