# Test the policy

Test the Cloud Configuration Governance policy against the configuration data imported for a previous scan run. Test the policy to make sure that it is working properly.

## Before you begin

-   Ensure that a scan run is available that contains the configuration data you want to check through the policy.
-   Role required: sn\_itom\_ccg.governor

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **Cloud Configuration Governance** > **Policy**.

2.  Open the policy.

3.  Select **Test Policy**.

4.  Select the appropriate scan run.

5.  Select **OK**.
