# Close multiple incidents from list

Close multiple incidents from the incident list simultaneously that can have the same resolution code.

## Before you begin

Role required: itil, list\_updater, sn\_incident\_write, or admin

## Procedure

1.  Select the check box beside each incident that you want to close.

2.  Right-click on any list column header and select **Update Selected**.

3.  Set the value of **State** to **Closed**.

4.  In the Resolution Information section, select a **Resolution code** and enter your notes in **Resolution notes**.

5.  Click **Update**.

    The changes apply to all the selected records.
