# Delegate the shift manager \[rota\_admin\] role

As a shift manager, you can delegate your role to a member of shift.

## Before you begin

Role required: rota\_manager or admin

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **All** > **User Administration** > **Delegate Roles in Group**.

2.  Follow the instructions to [Delegating roles](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/platform-administration/c_DelegateRoles.md) the shift manager role to a member of your shift.

    **Note:** Ensure that you select the shift group where you want to delegate the shift manager role.

3.  Submit the role delegation request.
