# Activate Major Incident Management in Service Operations Workspace

Activate the Major Incident Management \(app-sow-mim\) plugin in Service Operations Workspace using Admin Center.

## Before you begin

Role required: admin

## About this task

Activating this plugin enables the **Major incident** button on incident records in Service Operations Workspace and unlocks the major incident management workflow, including the major incident workbench, communication plans and post-incident review.

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **All** > **Service Operations Workspace** > **Configurations**.

2.  On the Admin Center **Overview** tab, in the Configure ITSM Core section, select the **Install** button under Major Incident Management.

3.  In the pop-up window that lists plugins to be installed, select **Start Install**.


## What to do next

After Major Incident Management has been activated, you can configure the available features by selecting the Configure option, which redirects you to the **Configuration** tab of the Admin Center.
