# Basic Software Asset Management roles

Basic Software Asset Management adds the following roles.

|Role|Description|
|----|-----------|
|sam\_admin|Inherits the sam\_user role and has permission to run reconciliation and manage reclamation rules.|
|sam\_user|Able to access all features except administrative.|

Users with the sam\_user or sam\_admin role can view and refresh the overview page.
