You may want to do this to make the data visualization available to add to other dashboards. You may also want to be able to edit the data visualization in the Visualization Designer, as described in [Open a visualization in the Visualization Designer from a dashboard](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/now-intelligence/open-dv-on-db-in-vd.md). ## Procedure 1. Open the relevant dashboard for editing. 2. Locate or create the relevant data visualization. See [Creating data visualizations](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/now-intelligence/creating-data-visualizations.md). 3. Expand the data visualization 3-dot menu. \[Omitted image "dv-context-menu-add-to-lib.png"\] Alt text: 3-dot menu for data visualization with Add to library highlighted. 4. You can edit it as described in [Open a visualization in the Visualization Designer from a dashboard](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/now-intelligence/open-dv-on-db-in-vd.md). **Parent Topic:**[Edit a data visualization in an inline dashboard](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/now-intelligence/editing-dv-in-line-db.md)
