# Duplicate a visualization on an inline dashboard

Duplicate a visualization so that you can use aspects of the source in a copy of the visualization while on the dashboard it sits on.

## Before you begin

Role required: viz\_creator

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **All** > **Platform Analytics** > **Library** > **Dashboards**

2.  Select the dashboard with the visualization that you want to duplicate.

3.  Select **Edit**.

4.  From the Actions menu \(\[Omitted image "icon-vert-3dot-p.png"\] Alt text:\) on the visualization, select **Duplicate**.

    A copy of the visualization is added to dashboard.

5.  Select the copy of the visualization to open its Configuration panel.

6.  Give the copy of the visualization a unique chart title to distinguish it from the original on the dashboard.

7.  Select **Save** to save the changes to the dashboard.

8.  From the Actions menu \(\[Omitted image "icon-vert-3dot-p.png"\] Alt text:\) on the visualization, select **Add to Library** to make the copy available to other users.

    When you add the visualization to the library, you must give it a name and, optionally, a description. Other users see the name and description in the list of visualizations in the library.


## Result

The visualization is copied with the new information.

**Important:** The new copy of the visualization is automatically saved.
