# Assign OT roles to a user or group with ServiceNow Otto for Setup

Assign Operational Technology \(OT\) roles to a user or group as needed so that group members can access the data required for their work.

## Before you begin

Role required: admin

## Procedure

1.  Access the Admin Home by logging in to your instance or navigating to **All** > **Admin Center** > **Admin Home**.

2.  Locate and select the **Operational Technology** card.

3.  In the **Configure your product** section, select **Configure** to open the configuration console.

4.  In the **Operational Data** section, expand the **Role Assignment** module and select **Roles**.

5.  Select the check box next to the role or roles to assign.

6.  Select **Assign groups**.

7.  Search for and select one or more users or groups as needed.

8.  Select **Update**.

    Any roles already assigned to the selected user or group are skipped.

9.  When you're finished assigning roles, select **Mark as configured**.


## Result

If all role assignments are successful, you see a `Roles assigned successfully` alert.
