# Assign a lead

Assign a lead to a sales agent in Lead Management.

## Before you begin

Role required: sales\_agent or sales\_manager

## Procedure

1.  In the CRM Workspace, select the **List** \[Omitted image "list-outline-24.svg"\] Alt text: view.

2.  Navigate to **Leads** > **All** and select an existing lead that you're working with.

    -   On the **Leads- All** page, select **Assign to**.
    -   Open the lead record, select three-dot menu \[Omitted image "icon-three-dot-menu.png"\] Alt text: at the top-right corner on the lead header and select **Assign to**.
    To [Create a lead](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/order-management/create-new-lead.md), select **New**.

    **Note:**

    Immediately after you create the lead, a message confirms that the lead was created. To continue working on the lead, select the link in the message.

3.  On the **Assign leads to** dialogue box, select **Owner** and choose a sales agent.

    You can select the box if you want to reassign all the tasks from the selected leads to this sales agent.

4.  Select **Assign**.
