# Modify notification channels

You can update channel information for your notifications.

## Before you begin

Role required: none

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **User menu** > **Preferences** > **Notifications**.

2.  In the Notification Channels section, select the channel row or the right arrow \(**>**\) next to the channel name.

3.  In the Edit Channel form, update the fields \(see [Create notification channels](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/platform-administration/create-channel.md) for descriptions of the form fields\).

4.  Select **Save**.


## Result

The system updates and saves the channel information that you modified.
