# Drop a custom index

Remove a custom index by dropping it from a table.

## Before you begin

Role required: admin

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **All** > **System Definition** > **Tables**.

2.  Select the table that contains the custom index you want to drop.

3.  On the **Table** form, select the Database Indexes related list.

4.  In the list, select the custom index that you want to drop.

5.  On the Database Indexes form, select **Drop**.


## Result

The custom index is dropped from the table.
