# Setup a Guardrail Service Provider

Select a guardrail service provider of your choice in AI Guardian to monitor and detect Now Assist interactions for harmful, offensive, and prompt injection content.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn\_nowassist\_admin.nsa\_admin

## About this task

AI Guardian supports multiple guardrail service provider types to monitor and detect harmful content. Select a provider based on your organization's requirements. Only one provider can be active at a time. For more information about supported service providers, see [Configuring a Guardrail Service Provider](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/platform-security/configuring-byog.md).

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **All** > **Now Assist Admin** > **Settings**.

2.  Navigate to **Now Assist Guardian** > **Guardrail service providers**.

3.  In the **Set default provider** section, select a service provider from the list of guardrail service providers.

4.  Select **Save and activate**.


## Result

The selected guardrail service provider monitors and evaluates all Now Assist interactions for harmful, offensive, or prompt injection content.
