# Increase hardening compliance score

Increase your hardening compliance score by ensuring that the hardening settings are compliant with the system's recommendations.

## Before you begin

Role required: admin

Identify non-compliant hardening settings with the highest score impact on your instance. Review them to see whether you can comply with system recommendations so that you can increase your overall compliance score.

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **Hardening** > **All settings**.

2.  Select one of the following:

    -   **Improve my hardening score**: Open the high impact hardening setting record automatically.
    -   **Non-compliant settings**: Filter the list and select a setting.
3.  Review the setting details to decide whether you want to comply with the recommendations.

4.  If you update a non-compliant hardening score to make it compliant, the compliance score should be calculated automatically.

    Hardening scores are rounded up. For example, a score of 86.75% will be rounded up to 87.
