# Catalog cart block

The catalog cart block is a dynamic block provided in the base system.

This block provides the same cart that is available within the service catalog. If the [site definition](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/platform-user-interface/content-management-system/t_CreateANewSite.md) has the **Use external cart** option selected, include this block in the site so users can interact with their catalog cart.

Catalog cart block is available when the **glide.sc.use\_cart\_layouts** property is set to false.
