Creating an email notification involves specifying when to send it, who receives it, and what it contains. ## Before you begin Role required: sn\_vul.vulnerability\_admin or sn\_vul.admin \(deprecated\) ## Procedure 1. Navigate to **All** > **Vulnerability Response** > **Administration** > **Email Templates**. 2. Select **New**. For detailed instructions for creating email notifications, see [Create an email notification](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/platform-administration/t_CreateANotification.md). ## Result Starting from v21.0 of Vulnerability Response, when a recipient clicks the links in an email notification, the records open in the Vulnerability Manager Workspace or IT Remediation Workspace based on their role. - Links open in the Vulnerability Manager Workspace for users with the roles, sn\_vul\_container.vulnerability\_analyst, or sn\_vul\_container.vulnerability\_admin. - Links open in the IT Remediation Workspace for users with roles, sn\_vul\_container.remediation\_owner. If the recipient doesn’t have any of the preceding roles, the links in an email notification open in the classic UI. - **[Create or edit remediation target notifications](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/security-management/container-vulnerability-response/cvr-create-remediation-notification.md)** Vulnerability administrators can edit the remediation target notification or add new ones, specifying when to send the notification, who receives the notification, and what content is in the notification. **Parent Topic:**[Configuring Container Vulnerability Response](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/security-management/container-vulnerability-response/configure-cvr.md)
