# Activate or deactivate software for exposure assessment

To stop further delta processing of software, you can choose to deactivate it, thus removing it from the active list of software.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn\_vul\_analyst.vul\_event\_manager

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **Workspaces** > **Vulnerability Assessment Workspace** > **Exposure Assessment** > **Assess by Software**.

2.  To deactivate, select the required active software and select the **Deactivate** option.

    The software is deactivated.

    **Note:** To activate software, follow the same process and select the **Activate** option.

3.  Refresh the page to view the updated status \(false\) in the Active column.
