This information can help the analyst proactively monitor upcoming remediation activities. ## Before you begin Role required: - sn\_vul.vulnerability\_admin - sn\_vul.read\_remediation\_target\_rules \[read only\] Persona and granular roles are available to help you manage what users and groups can see and do in the Vulnerability Response application. For an initial assignment of the persona roles in Setup Assistant, see [Assign the Vulnerability Response persona roles using Setup Assistant](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/security-management/vulnerability-response/vr-assign-personas_SA.md). For more information about managing granular roles, see [Manage persona and granular roles for Vulnerability Response](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/security-management/vulnerability-response/vr_manage_granular-roles.md). ## About this task A [scheduled job](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/platform-administration/c_ScheduledJobs.md) called **Evaluate remediation targets** runs once per day to compare the current date against the vulnerable item remediation date specified in the associated remediation target rule. When the current date falls within the number of days before the remediation is past due, a remediation status is added to the vulnerable item record. For more information on remediation target rules, see [Vulnerability Response remediation target rules](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/security-management/vulnerability-response/time-to-remediate-rules.md). ## Procedure 1. Navigate to **All** > **Vulnerability** > **Vulnerable Items**. 2. Click on the vulnerable item you want to review. If the remediation date for the vulnerable item is within range of the conditions set in the remediation target rule, the **Remediation Target Status** tab is visible. 3. Click on the **Remediation Target Status** tab. 4. Click on the remediation target status record to review it. **Note:** To view the number of Vulnerable Items that are Approaching Target, In-flight and Past Target, see [Using the default Vulnerability Response dashboards](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/security-management/vulnerability-response/c_VulnHomepage.md). **Related topics** [Create or edit a Vulnerability Response remediation target rule](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/security-management/vulnerability-response/create-time-to-remediate-rule.md)
