# Search for an API or an API component in API Insights

Search for an API or an API component available within your organization in the API Insights workspace.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn\_api\_insights\_ws.api\_mgmt\_architect

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **Workspaces** > **API Insights**.

2.  In the **Search APIs** text box on the Overview tab, enter your search phrase and select **Search**.

    **Tip:** Alternatively, after entering the search phrase, you can press the Enter key.

3.  On the Search results page, select a tab to view more details.

    |Tab|Description|
    |---|-----------|
    |**APIs**|List of APIs that match your search query, including their management platform, life cycle stage, and most recent discovery date.|
    |**API components**|List of individual components of APIs that match your search query, including their class, method, and URL.|
