# Delete a document from a parent record

Delete documents directly from a parent record.

## Before you begin

Role required: admin with admin access

or

Access permission: owner

or

User: owner

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to the required record \(for example, Incident\).

2.  Select the **Documents** tab.

3.  Select and open the documents you want to delete.

4.  Select **Delete**.
