# Create a Password Reset verification from an existing verification

The Password Reset application includes several example verifications that you can use as they are or as the basis for a custom verification. If the verification types in the base system do not meet your needs, you can create a custom verification type.

## Before you begin

Role required: password\_reset\_admin

## About this task

**Note:** The Password Reset Windows Application does not support custom verifications.

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **All** > **Password Reset** > **Verifications** and select a verification.

2.  If needed, modify the parameters on the **Password Reset Verification Parameters** tab.

    The parameters are described in the instructions for the type of verification that you are working on.

3.  Click **Submit**.

    **Note:** Each verification type has properties that control the user experience. Review the property settings and update as needed.
