# Edit already published catalog items using AI

You can edit published catalog items conversationally using AI. If you’ve already started editing a published catalog item, you can still use AI to edit the draft of that published catalog item. You can edit variables and UI policies in this mode.

## Before you begin

Role required: catalog\_builder\_editor

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **All** > **Service Catalog** > **Catalog Builder**.

2.  Select the Catalog items tab.

3.  Select a published catalog item that you want to edit.

4.  Select **Edit**.

5.  Select **Edit with AI**.

6.  Give prompts in the AI conversation, you can generate the catalog item.

7.  After you’ve completed your edits, publish the catalog item.
