# Create an interaction

Create and manage interaction records in Accounts Payable Operations to track supplier requests received through chat, email, or the Supplier Collaboration Portal.

## Before you begin

Role required: Account Payable Operations agent

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **All** > **Source-to-Pay Workspace**.

    Based on the supplier interaction with the agent, an interaction record is auto-created. For more information about the fields in an interaction record, see [Interaction management in Accounts Payable Operations](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/source-to-pay-operations/accounts-payable-operations/interaction-record.md).

2.  Click**Create a case**.

    If the supplier chat has a new inquiry, then use create a case. For more information about creating invoice inquiry case, see [Invoice inquiry cases](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/source-to-pay-operations/accounts-payable-operations/work-with-inquiry-cases.md).

3.  Click **Save**.

    New Interaction record is created.
