# Create a finance task from a finance case

Create a finance task from a finance case. Assign the task to a task owner or group to resolve that case.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn\_fin\_ops.specialist, sn-fin-ops.admin

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to either of the following:

    -   **All** > **Finance Operations** > **Finance Operations Workspace**.
    -   **Workspaces** > **Finance Operations Workspace**.
2.  In the Finance Operations workspace, select the List icon \[Omitted image "fin-ops-list-icon.png"\] Alt text:.

3.  From the list page, navigate to either of the following submodules:

    -   **My work** > **Open cases**
    -   **All work** > **Cases**
4.  From the Number column, select a link to open the finance inquiry case.

5.  Select the **Tasks** tab, and then select **New**.\[Omitted image "fin-task-from-fin-case.png"\] Alt text: Create a finance task from a finance case

6.  On the Create New Finance Task form, fill in the fields.

7.  Select **Save**.
