When a savings opportunity is created, it has an **Open** status by default. After reviewing the opportunity in the Now Assist Panel, the opportunity moves to one of two outcomes: - **Closed**: The user accepts the opportunity. A pipeline project is created from the opportunity and linked to it, moving it into the sourcing pipeline for execution. - **Dismissed**: The user rejects the opportunity and provides a reason. The card is removed from the Potential savings opportunities page and the dismissal reason is saved on the opportunity record. **Note:** After an opportunity is closed or dismissed, the action is not reversible. - **[Review a savings opportunity and create a pipeline project](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/source-to-pay-operations/sourcing-and-procurement-operations/savings-opportunity-create-pipeline.md)** Open a savings opportunity discovered by the Savings Opportunity Discovery agentic workflow and create a pipeline project that tracks the savings. - **[Dismiss a savings opportunity](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/source-to-pay-operations/sourcing-and-procurement-operations/savings-opportunity-dismiss.md)** Reject a savings opportunity that you do not intend to pursue, recording who dismissed it, when, and why so it stays on record for auditing. **Parent Topic:**[Using Spend and Savings Management](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/source-to-pay-operations/sourcing-and-procurement-operations/using-spend-mgmt.md) **Related topics** [Map spend categories to product categories using an Excel file]() [Map spend categories to product categories manually]()
