# Update the product category or spend category in the ServiceNow Otto panel

Use the ServiceNow Otto panel to update the product category or spend category for purchase requisitions, sourcing requests, or purchase orders directly from the Source-to-Pay Workspace.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn\_shop\_procurement\_specialist

## Procedure

1.  Navigate to **Workspaces** > **Source-to-Pay Workspace**.

2.  Select the list icon \(\[Omitted image "cases-list-icon.png"\] Alt text: List icon.\).

3.  Navigate to **List** > **All work** and locate the required record.

    1.  Select from the following modules:

        -   Sourcing requests
        -   Requisitions
    2.  In the **Number** column, select the record link to open the details page.

4.  To open the ServiceNow Otto panel, select the ServiceNow Otto icon \[Omitted image "icon-ai-sparkle.png"\] Alt text: Sparkle icon for ServiceNow Otto.

5.  In the ServiceNow Otto panel, enter a request to update either the product category or spend category.

6.  Select **Product Category** or **Spend Category**, based on your requirement.

7.  When prompted, enter the reason for the update or enter **Skip** to continue without providing a reason.

8.  Enter your suggested category.

    ServiceNow Otto analyzes your input and provides AI-generated suggestions.

9.  Review the suggested options and select the one you want to apply.


## Result

The product category or spend category for the selected purchase line is successfully updated.
