# Privacy Policy — Travibe

## Who we are

Travibe is a travel discovery and community app for India. You can browse destinations, join or host trip gangs, post photos and notes, ask questions, and list local services if verified.

## Data we collect

- Account: Google or Apple sign-in identifiers, name, email, profile photo. Guest accounts have a Firebase user ID only.
- Profile you add: bio, home city and state, travel vibes, languages, pace.
- User content: place photos, trip notes, questions and answers, gang details and chat, provider listings and ID proof for verification.
- Location: while the app is open, to sort nearby regions and gangs. Not collected in the background. You can turn this off in Settings.
- Device and diagnostics if we enable analytics later. We do not sell personal data. We do not process payments in-app today.

## How we use data

To run the app, authenticate you, show public profiles you choose to share, match trip gangs, verify local providers, moderate reports, and comply with law.

## Sharing

We host the app on Firebase / Google Cloud. Provider phone and WhatsApp numbers are shown so travellers can contact them. We do not sell data to advertisers. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect users.

## Public vs private

If Public travel profile is on, anyone can see your name, photo, bio, and places you marked. If off, only you and people who follow you. Gang chat is visible to members. Place photos and notes are public.

## Retention and deletion

You can delete your account in Settings. We remove or anonymise profile, visits, and private files where technically feasible. Some records (reports, legal holds) may be kept as required by law.

## Your rights (including DPDP, 2023)

You may access, correct, or erase personal data, withdraw consent, and complain to us at hello@travibe.app.

## Children

Travibe is for users 18 years and older.

## Changes

We will update this page when the policy changes. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the update.
