Installation for Dolphin Emulator on Windows PC: (Recommended method)

To install this mod, you must have a working .iso file of Super Mario Galaxy loaded within Dolphin Emulator. Once you have the game loading and working properly, you can do the following to install this mod:

Or you can watch this guide video that I created:

https://youtu.be/YLWVg0U7XfE

Right click on the game title (Super Mario Galaxy) and select "Properties" from the list of available options

Navigate to the Filesystem tab

Right click on "Disc" and select "Extract Entire Disc..."

Navigate to the inside of a new empty folder and select the folder. This should extract all the game files.

Navigate to the folder that you extracted the game files

You should see 2 folders called "DATA" and "UPDATE". Enter the "DATA" folder.

Now you should see a few files and a few folders. The main folders that are useful are "files" and "sys". Enter the "files" folder.

This is the folder that contains all of the files that the game uses to run. Drag and drop all the files included in the "Lillie1" folder, which should be inside the zip file you downloaded, and replace all of the files.

(Optional) Add in the extra cutscenes and replace everything, they are in a separate zip file included on the mod website

Go back to the "DATA" folder and enter the "sys" folder

The main useful file in this folder is the main.dol file, which is used to run the modded version of the game. To do this, drag the main.dol file into the Dolphin Emulator window to run the game with the mod installed.

The game should now load with the mod. If you see "Super Lillie Galaxy" on the title screen (Instead of "Super Mario Galaxy"), then that means this mod was installed correctly! If you see a black screen, this most likely means that you installed the mod incorrectly.

(Optional) If you want this mod to appear as a separate game title in Dolphin Emulator, you can do the following:

Navigate to the "Options" tab near the top of the Dolphin Emulator window and select "Configuration".

Navigate to the "Paths" tab

Click "Add..."

Navigate to the inside of the "sys" folder and select it

Now the modded version of the game should appear on the list of titles in Dolphin Emulator.

Installation on a modded Wii console using Riivolution:

To install this mod on the Wii console using Riivolution, make sure that you have Riivolution installed on your modded Wii, and that you have Super Mario Galaxy working:

On your PC, navigate to where the "riivolution" folder is on your SD card

Enter the "riivolution" folder on the SD card and paste the "Super Lillie Galaxy.xml" inside. This is included inside the zip file you downloaded. If you are updating this mod, replace the .xml file if there is one there already.

In the Lillie1 folder, add the files in the folder titled "Replace these files in the Lillie1 folder if you are using Riivolution on your Wii console"

Drag the "Lillie1" folder to the root of the SD card.

If done correctly, the mod should now be possible to load through Riivolution.
